The Commercial Closing Manager is responsible for overseeing the final stages of the sales cycle, ensuring all commercial deals are closed efficiently, accurately, and within company standards. This role involves managing the closing process from deal confirmation to contract signing, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring customer satisfaction and retention. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, organizational, and negotiation skills, as well as a deep understanding of the sales process.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Closure Management:
Oversee the final stages of the sales cycle to ensure timely and effective deal closures.
Review and finalize contract terms and conditions, ensuring they meet both customer and company requirements.
Coordinate with legal, finance, and operations teams to ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled.
Collaboration with Sales Teams:
Work closely with the commercial sales team to ensure smooth handoffs of deals and accurate sales forecasts.
Provide support and guidance to the sales team during the negotiation process, helping to resolve any roadblocks that may arise.
Analyze the sales pipeline and provide insights into potential delays or issues during the closing phase.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders throughout the sales process.
Ensure customer needs and expectations are met during the final stages of the deal.
Act as the point of contact for customers post-sale until contracts are finalized.
Data Management and Reporting:
Ensure accurate documentation of all sales transactions and maintain up-to-date records in CRM systems.
Generate and analyze reports on deal closure performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Track and report on sales closure metrics, including timelines, revenue, and customer satisfaction.
Process Improvement:
Continuously assess and improve sales closing processes to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
Work closely with sales leadership to implement best practices, training, and tools for the closing process.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure all commercial agreements are in compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
Mitigate risks by identifying potential issues in deal structures and contract terms before closing.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
Minimum of 5-6 years in a sales or commercial management role, with at least 2 years focused on closing deals or contract management.
Strong experience in managing complex sales negotiations and high-value contracts.
